On February 20, 2024, the first meeting of the Expert Advisory Board (EAB) of the LIFE UNCINATA* project was held at the Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications (CREAF).
The Expert Advisory Board is a consultative body established to provide scientific and technical support on any questions arising during the implementation of the project, helping to build a shared, consensus-based vision of the habitat.
This first meeting, which brought together specialists in botany, soil science, and ecology, aimed at reaching a consensus on key ecological concepts and the definition of habitat 9430* “Subalpine black pine forests on calcareous substrate”, based on the EU Habitats Directive and other official classifications.
